Tackling My First Amigurumi

If you recall, one of my goals for this year was to tackle more complicated crochet patterns. I’m working on a really cool blanket that qualifies (it’ll take me a while to get it done), but I also thought I’d pick up some amigurumi (just means crocheted toy).

I recently came across the Fresh Stitches site and LOVE her positive energy and fun amigurumi patterns. She is hosting a crochet a long (or slug-a-long as she’s calling it – because of the cute slug pattern) and I’ve decided to jump in and join! I think I’m going to glam up my slug by using this cute silver yarn I have. So we’ll see how it goes! I’ll be sure to post my completed slug when I’m done!

Have you ever crocheted an amigurumi? If not, do you think you’d like to try it? Let me know if you’re also participating in the slug-a-along in the comments below!
