I completed my first scarf this week, and I LOVE it! This simple scarf simply uses single crochet and double crochet stitches, and yet looks so complicated. Thus, I’m calling it my “Scarf with a One-Two Punch”!
I used the “two stitch hat & scarf set” pattern from Noggins and Necks which is the first pattern book I purchased. I loved that it used only two stitches, did not require any fancy counting or remembering (except for getting the right number of starting stitches), and helped to focus on tension of the yarn. And the results were so rewarding!
Here’s a close up of the stitches:
I enjoyed it so much, I whipped up a second one that will be for my niece. (I’m going to add a crochet flower on the end but haven’t gotten to that yet.)
I had a little “helper” while trying to take photos this morning. This is Cali (short for Calistoga). She’s the oldest of my two furbabies.
By the way…I know the colors in the photos don’t look the same, and Cali looks all bright…but remember, I am not a photographer and I don’t even pretend to play one on TV.
