Notecards for my Niece

A few weeks ago, my niece (along with FOUR other family members) celebrated a birthday – she is TEN. (Ummm how did that happen??) Over the summer, she started writing me with notecards I made her for her birthday last year. Can I just say…in this technological age, it made me teary to get handwritten notes from my niece?! LOVE HER! And in one of those recent notes, she asked me to make her some more as she was running low. Ask this Auntie and you shall receive!!

I made a couple different styles of cards. First, more washi tape cards with matching envelopes.

And then some floral ones with flowers I cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.

I bundled those up along with some of the Hi cards I made a while back, and packaged them up into this cute little chest (and some colorful gel pens).

And…she loved them. (According to my dad who was there when she opened it…like really really loved it!) <3

Lovely gift! I used to be a prolific letter writer and miss those days. Lately, I’ve been trying to pick it up again and it still feels great.

Oh yes, she is in love!! And the treasure chest made it that much more special. Trying to pull her away from the computer is much easier when she has beautiful cards to write with. Thanks to the best Auntie in the world!!!

    • I’m so glad she loves the chest too! We went to three different stores I think, looking for the perfect “box”. And I don’t know about being the “best” Auntie – but I do know I’m the luckiest to have my niece and nephew!!

Those are lovely cards! I’m especially fond of that cute chest you used to package them for your niece. :) She’s got a great auntie!
