More Completed Crochet Projects

I haven’t posted any new crochet projects lately – but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been using up yarn! Here are a couple projects that I’ve completed over the past couple weeks…I’m getting close to done with items for Christmas gifts. :-)

Here’s the first shawl I’ve ever made:

The color is a little washed out – it’s actually a beautiful soft green color. (We hadn’t had much sunshine lately so this was taken with dark skies.) It was made following the Kristen Shawl pattern from Fiber Flux. (So many great patterns on that site!)

And of course I’m still making a bunch of scarves. Here are two using the same pattern (Blueberry Pie Scarf pattern also from Fiber Flux) but different yarns – shows how much your yarn choice affects the look.

Here are two scarves using the same yarn but different patterns:

The scarf on the left is using the same pattern as I shared in A Scarf with a One-Two Punch, and the one on the right is the Blueberry Pie Scarf pattern noted above.

Oh…and my yarn stash keeps g-r-o-w-i-n-g! I’ve developed an addiction to yarn, and can’t wait to make some non-scarf projects. :-)

(Sorry for the washed out pics – but remember, I’m not a photographer and I don’t even pretend to play one on TV. :-) I do think I need to get my husband to teach me some basic photography skills in 2013 though.)

Thank you! I’m really enjoying it and can’t wait to try some other more “advanced” projects! I have a bunch of bag patterns I can’t WAIT to try!

Looks like you’ve been busy! Just know, if you become a yarn hoarder you’re not alone. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Girl Going Country says:

LOL Kristine, I’m definitely already a yarn hoarder! I’m addicted and currently have 4 crates full – and always eyeing more! Does it ever stop? :-)

Great work! The scarves are especially lovely. Are you gonna start selling some on etsy? hehe

    • Girl Going Country says:

I have definitely thought of putting up a store – either on Etsy and/or maybe just right up on the blog itself. I have to finish up one or two more for Christmas presents and then start making enough to be worth starting a shop. Do I sense that maybe you’d be interested? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I also have some other fun things I’m thinking of making to sell – hopefully 2013 brings that store to a website near you!

Your shawl and scarves are beautiful, lovely job! The yarn you used was especially nice with the variegated colors and how it played with the stitches. Love!
