Crochet Christmas Gift Wrap Up

I can’t believe today is the last year of 2012 already! I’ve been enjoying some downtime away from the computer, but wanted to put up a quick post with a recap of some of the projects I crocheted as gifts this year.

This isn’t all of them – I sent off some of the gifts before remembering to take a picture – but this includes scarves for my mom, neighbor, niece and nephew, a wrap for my sister, and a hat for my brother in law.

Here is a close up of the hat – since it was my first one and I haven’t posted any hat pics yet:

It’s mostly single crochet except for the last couple rows which are a double crochet.

I made two more hats after this. One for my hubs with a thick chunky yarn:

I also made a third hat for my dad – finished it up on the plane on my way to Denver for the holidays. But I forgot to take a picture of it. Boo!

All together I crocheted the following Christmas gifts this year:

  • 8 scarves (plus 1 for me)
  • 1 shawl
  • 3 hats

Not bad for just picking up crochet a few months ago. :-)

I’ve definitely decided that I LOVE to crochet – I’m addicted to yarn – and I can’t wait to try more fun projects in the near year.

What fun handmade projects did you make or buy this year?
