Hippos and Bunnies and Cuteness – Oh My!

You guys, remember that really cool hippo I crocheted for my niece last year? (Still one of my all time favorite things I’ve ever made with my own two hands.) Well…my mom loved it so much that she started making more of them!

AND…she makes these super adorable bunnies:

Ridiculously cute, right?

Well…lucky you, she has decided she’d like to start selling some of these cuties! Here is a flyer with more information and more pictures: Edie’s Crochet Animals

And there’s still plenty of time to get an order in for a memorable Christmas present (although act fast before she fills up!).

Puppy for My Nephew

I am SOOOO late in sharing this post, but January was pretty rough in our household. Super sick kitty, business trip, brought home the flu, sick husband, still coughing. BUT, we are all on the mend and life is slowly returning to “normal”.  I shared this sneak peek back in December of a project I made for my nephew. But now you can see the whole thing!

ChristmasPuppy

I modified the pattern from the Simply Cute Dog pattern in the book Animal Amigurumi to Crochet (Annie’s Crochet) so that it would look more like my nephew’s dog. The color changes for the spots took some work as this little guy is pretty small so it was tight working with the two colors in the rounds. There were some frustrating nights getting this guy done, but in the end I love him – and more importantly, so does my nephew!

By the way, he named him Snoopy. :-)

Christmas Hippo

As soon as I saw that she had a pattern for Happypotamus the Happy Hippo I sent it to my sister and asked if I could provide my niece’s hippo this year. I’m so glad she said yes, because this one of my all time favorite things I’ve crocheted.

2014 Year in Review

Good Bye 2014

I’m sure every person says this at the end of every year but…I really can’t believe this year is over! I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my goals for 2015, which I’ll share in the next couple days. But first, I wanted to reflect back on how I did against my 2014 Goals.

It’s a Boy!

I’m finally able to share a project I worked on over the summer! I crocheted a baby blanket for a friend of ours, who just had the little fella a few days ago. (Ok, so technically I could have shared this a couple weeks ago after her baby shower…but…well….)
