30 Days of Thankfulness Day 5

I am thankful for my job today. Being that it’s a Monday and, like many people, Mondays aren’t exactly my favorite day of the week, I realized I needed to focus on how lucky I am to have this job, instead of dreading it.

I work for a software company that allows me to work from home. That by itself would be enough to be thankful for. I no longer have to commute and can work in sweats and a ponytail if I want, and am able to man the crock pot or throw something in the oven for dinner before normal “quitting time”.

But this job also provides me intellectual stimulation, allows me to work with some amazing co-workers, and pushes and challenges me in new ways.

And in these uncertain economic times, I am so thankful for the income this job provides, along with great health benefits.

So this Monday morning, rather than dreading waking up, I am going to remember how lucky I am to have a job at all, let alone one that gives me all the goodness above.

What are you thankful for today?

Day 5: I am thankful for freedom of religion in the country I live in, and so thankful for my God, who has blessed me beyond measure. I am thankful for His forgiveness and unending love! I’m so lucky that I was introduced to church and religion at a very young age, and I know that not everyone in this world has freedom of religion.
