30 Days of Thankfulness Day 18

I am thankful for the creativity and generosity of others. I like to think I’m a creative person but I’m not a “creative” person. I usually require inspiration from someone or something else. And thankfully there are so many really creative people out there. And the very best part is that they are so generous with their ideas and creativity.

I’ve started following a lot of really great blogs. My inbox overflows with daily inspiration. Too many to name in this post (but I will be putting up a whole page dedicated to the sites that I follow), but I wanted to call out one in particular.

Amber blogs at Crazy Little Projects, and she is going to be sharing a 7-part series to teach others how to sew online.

She’s even started a Facebook group for those who will be participating to help build a community and support each other. She shares so many fun projects already on her site, but to make the time to put together this FREE series to her blog readers, and to create this little community for it? So wonderfully generous! (By the way, I get absolutely nothing out of promoting Amber’s blog or this series, except being able to pay forward her generosity.)

So many ways to get inspired by so many. I’m new to Pinterest (you can follow me here but honestly I don’t use it a whole lot yet. I think I’m getting to “that age” where all the new-fandangled technologies seem too complicated LOL) Honestly, it’s because I’m so overwhelmed. I do have a full time day job, after all. I’m afraid I’ll get lost forever and never step away from the computer. But this is another place where people are sharing their ideas freely.

If you have a favorite blog or Pinterest page that inspires you, please share in the comments below. I am always on the lookout for new creative inspiration.

Day 18: I am thankful that the holiday season is upon us! I get so excited this time of year, when the Christmas music plays on the radio, Christmas movies play on TV, and you can order seasonal drinks at Starbucks! This time of year also makes me want to bake and cook comfort food :) There is something so special about this time of year…because it also reminds us of how lucky we really are. To be blessed with good friends and family!

I love the holiday season too! Although I was not ready 2 weeks ago when I was at the mall and Christmas music was already playing. LOL I feel like poor Thanksgiving gets skipped.

LOL Karie. I agree…I think everything should wait until the day after Thanksgiving. It seems to get earlier and earlier every year.

Amber, it’s the very least I can do! I am so excited about your series, and want to help get the word out! :-)
